When the bass passes under the bait at the beginning of the video does it actually try to slap the popper with it's tail to stun it?

Glad I could share it. One of my favorite experiences is wet wading on the Blue River in the summer. I like it better than freezing my buns off in the winter (I know, I know sacrilege). There are pools above falls where you can toss a streamer into the crystal clear water and watch all the spotted bass fight over it. Then one will take it, fish on! and all the other little hoodlum spots will chase after, trying to steal what's obviously a thrilling meal. Better than cats and a laser.

Good story. I was fishing a small clear pond yesterday. I caught a small bass on a red and white clouser and 2 other bass were trying to take it from him. It was a great expierience. Now you have me googling the Blue River, LOL!!

 This is my favorite fish ever-June 9, 2010, on the Blue River. Took a Llano Bug above one of the little falls, jumped four or five times, rushed me, and knocked me off of my goose-grease slick rock. I fell in the drink, scratched up my leg, and eventually landed the little booger. Felt kind of like Brad Pitt. I'm holding Zach's rod as he snaps a crappy cell phone photo.
