I found a great spot to launch my kayak at the top of Lake Fork by the Hwy 19 Bridge. The water is pretty shallow but there is a ton of cover, stand-ups, lily pads and it leads into Fork Creek. The place looks like bass heaven but I got skunked the one time I tried it. What do you folks know about this section of Lake Fork? I used Spro-Frogs and jigs in the lily pads and flukes, swim baits, Texas rigged worms and crank baits by the standing wood. Should I be using something else or just pay my fishing-a-new-spot dues and keep using the same stuff?

No worries, I started fishing in the Pacific Ocean. Once you've had a Great White cruise under your kayak alligators are no big deal. wink Have you ever fished that section of Lake Fork?

I have fished that area many times. Yes there are fish there! You should be able to find the creek through the tree stumps while since the lake is down a little. There is a lot if area to fish.
