Do you guys mostly stay on the bank when carp fishing or wade out to cast? And if wading, anybody have any favorite brand/style waders? Thanks for any comments.

We nearly always stay on the bank to do our casting. Many of the carpers have the Euro style rods which allow for casts of up too and over 100 yards with a heavy weight, so they don't have any need to wade.
Others like me, who use more traditional American gear, just fish closer to shore.
As far as waders...a lot of the carp fishermen are also Sand Bass fishermen who wade out in search of them. DHFisher for example. They might be able to give some wader advice.
Also sometimes we wade out into deeper water to help release a fish. Though...I generally just wade out in my jeans lol.

Donny and I both have the Cabelas Dry plus waders. 125 bucks well spent.

I got the cheapest neoprene ones they had at Academy. For about 60 bucks, I've been pleased with my stocking foot chest waders. Just pull boots on over them and your in business.

Mark -
Very true. I actually only use them in the winter or up on the St. Lawrence. In warmer months, it's sandles or sneakers for me.
