I'd like some opinions, I'm in the market for a new boat. I am a huge champion fan but want a new boat,...Pheonix? Legend? Basscat? Bullet?

basscat (I own a champion now), customer service is beyond great. I called and ordered some grommets for passenger rod holder holes, they shipped with an invoice and told me to just pay when I got them. find another company that would do that even for a 30.00 purchase. all the bc boats I have seen have been extremely well built and they fish great.

Bass Cat and Allison lead all for construction. If you need gory details compared to the others, we certainly can have that, but feelings will get hurt.

Don't forget Sterling/Gambler They are very well built ride good and fish great. Oh yeah they invented raised flipping deck pioneered all composite construction and vacume cure their their hulls. Nothing wrong with BCB or Allison. For full disclosure I own a Skeeter.

Tha new and more fisherman friendly Allison's are by far tha best built bass boat on tha market..... There really is no comparison to other boats, but I also like the new Bullets....well, I also like the old Bullets too. Wouldn't trade my Allison for one, but they are really a close second.

There are many good boats. The comfort and ride vary based on boat design: center console, bass boat, ski boat, pontoon.
One of the most versatile boat styles is the center console. You can fish deep water, bays and even super shallow areas, and tour and ski the entire family.
Many of the clients that contact me to assist them in finding and buying the right boat, have already owned pontoons and ski boats and didn't get the function they wanted. In the end center consoles are taking over the family boating market.
While Skeeter and Ranger are the most heard of names, Nautic Star is the rising star in the center console market. The hull is fast, smooth in the water, very dry and very controllable. Today models like the 2110 Shallow Bay has a draft of only 10"! It has comfortable padded seats with backrests for 6 adults, not 3 like a bass boat. Without carpet, it is easy to clean. The higher gunnels allow plenty of room to keep small children from tumbling over, and plenty of storage. The Nautic Star 1910 will fit most budgets and will out fish and ski and play many more expensive brands.

i REALLY like the allison buthow much are they? how do they hold up? i know they are FAST and handle rough water well. They are no more expensive than any other top of the line, premium bass boat with all the bells and whistles. Mine will run into the 90's if you want but it also fishes well and handles rough water as good as any. I have owned most of them and this one will probably be my last. I feel they are built better, with better detail and technology, than any other boat on the market. I loved my Ranger, my Bullet, my Laser, etc....but this boat continues to impress me every time I take it out and I have owned it for over 5 years. I believe Fishin World in Dallas still carries them.

What HB says and...... how do they hold up? i know they are FAST and handle rough water well I know of one that has been built since '88 that has had "A" problem and it wasn't anything transom, stringer, floor connected! Justa 'bout any of 'em built after '88 will still be ALL original construction unless they have been painted and 'or crashed for whatever reason....Tha last one I had and sold a coupla years ago was an all original '90 002 with a stem winder 280 with all tha goodies and I promise I beat tha livin' hell outta that thing and never had tha slightest problem anywhere. Had it a little over a year and still got more than I paid for it. Think that tha new XST in tha link will really find its way to a lot of hard core fisherman....Time will tell I guess. Am I a little partial? What do you think!!!!

I can guarantee that the best boat is a boat that is paid for. All of them have their negatives and positives. Do not rely on any info except for what you get riding and running in a boat yourself. I personally prefer Rangers.
