I'm new in Texas and I was wondering if you guys can give me some
Pointers of where to go around Lewisville? Any good ponds for bass? I don't have a boat so that's why I'll stay away for the big lakes.

I was planing to head out to broken bow but I found out it's going to be packed since schools are done.

Thanks!

There has to be small ponds or city lakes that you can fish from. I don't have boat either but have found lots of ponds local I can have a great time. Several of the ponds are on private property, but if you ask lots of folk will let you fish. I live in Wylie so I don't have any help for where you live, just trying to help.

Just a thought. A float tube can open up a lot of water.

I know next to nothing about Lewisville. But there are some great places up on Texoma. Around the marinas, up in the coves around the rocks. Eisenhower S. P. is a good place.
Some of the Red River Flyfisher guys can chime in.

Texoma: East and West Burns (OK side)
Go on a day it is not windy. Also you want the winds from the S/SSE 10mph and less. Lately it has been a hurricane.

You can try the spillway below Texoma but make sure you have wading shoes with spikes. Not sure how productive fishing will be since a lot of people take every damn fish they catch.

Beavers Bend is usually not bad at all during the week, if you can ever go then.

You can find a lot of nice bank fishing spots in the Lewisville Lake Park, Hickory Creek Park, and Stewarts Creek Park (on The Colony side). You can use your float tube in the coves of most of those parks as well.
