That looks like a racer? Rate snake, and hog nose? Were all these snakes just in the same spot or did you have to turn over rocks and search for them?
2 weekends ago I almost stepped on a 5 foot Diamond Back out in Milam county. I wish I knew how to upload a pic.

We found 10 snakes in a relatively small area over 2 hours. I'd guess we covered 2 acres. I did flip junk and logs to find the coachwhips, rat snakes and Virginia (not photographed). The hogs were on the crawl and were found in the open. With all the rain the SE had recently, they were looking for toads.
I was looking for racers, but never found one. I was very surprised to find the Ambystoma (salamander) this late in the year. We were wearing insect repellent so I didn't pick it up to make better photos.
