Always liked something weedless in the summer cause the bass seem to seek cover from the sun, I'd say a t-rigged worm or fluke of some sort, weighted or not just depends. But early is the best in the summer, once the sun gets up there the fish go into hiding-at least from me it seems.

This spring....the FROG IS KING! Primarily I am after bass, all catch and release, and haven't been skunked yet. the best part is its all fishing my the sub-division I live in.....and it appears that most folks would rather golf, as in the year I have lived there, I have only seen three other people fishing, and I do a lot. It couldn't be better! LOL
When I am after Sunnies, I use Nightcrawlers.

get a super spook jr, learn to walk the dog, go out at sun up and have fun. or get a spro popn frog. once it gets mid day i go home. to hot.
