Anybody have advice for getting small jigs down in 20' or greater water, especially with a bit of wind?

patience...or add a small splitshot a foot up the line, or drop shot it. I use a small swivel above the jig for extra weight and it also takes care of line twist.

+1 for drop shot. I think the jig being above the weight helps me feel the slight bite.

Tie a double jig set up about 2 ft apart. It gives them more to look at, in areas of agressive concentrations you may even catch doubles. Depending on where you are and what time of the year 20ft is not deep.

+1 for drop shot. I think the jig being above the weight helps me feel the slight bite. Why use a weight on the bottom? I guess maybe if there are snags. I use two jigs, about 18" to 30" apart. I like as light as I can get away with. Favorite is a 1/24 on bottom 1/32 on top, but sometimes go heavier, depending on conditions. Sometimes you catch doubles.

yep helps find the brush and helps knock the jig loose when it gets snagged. Some think that knocking your weight on the limbs helps get the fishes attention too. That double jig setup works great too.

I throw the lead at em also, 1/8oz at a time. But when I have to switch and go small (because the other guy in the boat is catching five to my one) I use a tandem 1/32oz setup.
