Why I always carry a pair of Klein Cutting Pliers. They cost about $30, but will cut an 8/0 Owner with ease. Use 'em to cut hooks out of deep hooked fish sometimes too. Yes, I do the same thing. Carry a pair with me just in case. I have used them a few times.

so you rehooked the bass after you got the hook out your hand? The picture of the bass with the crank bait in her mouth is not the same one that gaffed me. That pic is one just over 6# and the one that gaffed me was about 5#. We caught 35 or more bass and very few of them were under 3#.

Done that a few times. Will almost not even touch a fish with a crack bait in its mouth anymore. Have had to push barb through twice and believe me its easier when it comes through the first time. Glad your OK. It does help when your catching fish. Sucks when your not.

Big YEPPERS on that! Why I haven't been fishing much. Drugs/driving let alone boating DO NOT MIX! Asprin, antibiotics, bandaids. God Bless just take 2 hydrocodone and a flexeril and keep fishing... pull it out later No driving a vehicle on those.
