Well I headed to Waco this morning to try and catch a few! Momma said fish for Friday, so I thought I'd run up there and see what this Monster Crappie guys been postin'!!!! The first place I went to was some brush piles put in my Myron Mosely!


Myron got throwed in jail for Game Law violations earlier this year, so I didn't think he would mind me fishing his piles. Somebody told me he stolled some of that sauce they put on them Fillet O' Fish sandwiches and put it on his brush piles. Guess he got hauled off for baiting with intent to marinade!!!
Anyway.....first drop into the first brush pile.....KERPLUNK!!!! Big ol' fat crappie!!! It went that way until about 10am when I figured I had my limit. Then I started fishing for fun!!!


I had plenty for our fish fry on Friday. Besides I was bringing some other fresh seafood any who!! Seems the last time I fried fish I purchased some jumbo shrimps and my sister in law ate almost all of them herself!!! I figured I'd get even this time. I told her I was going to fry scallops!! The other day I went and got a whole bucket of them fancy zebra mussels from Lake Belton. I hope she enjoys 'em!!!!

When I got home I went to take a picture of the fish on some of that fancy red carpet. Couldn't find any but my wife told me that there were some old pieces of linoleum in the shed. I was running out of time so I just dumped 'em in the pickup and started cleanin'!!!


All the fish were 2# minus!!! I got so tired of wiping slime off my hand I snipped the hook off my jig so I wouldn't have to bring anymore of those critters into the boat!!!



I tried layin' on the ramp for the selfie, but some dude runned me over with his trailer!! That was the first one of those selfies I took!!! I had a heck of a time trying to get the dog to hold the camera still while she pushed the shutter!!!!!

The rest of you fellers need to go get you some of them Waco crappies!!!!!!

I could have went there also. Max and I are planning a trip to Tawakoni. Short fish seemed to be high in the brush today. I would go to the bottom and them pull off another foot of line and KERPLUNK!!!!!!

Two of my neighbors stopped by and then walked away with fish. Good neighbors so I really don't ever say "no"! BUT..now I may have to make another trip!!! Life is far too short to not walk around with a smile on your face.
