so they are 14$/strip which is about 2 ft long. very easy to hook up. I tried it out sat night. very nice but did not get a chance to night fish due to storm coming. if anybody has any ideas on how to connect these continuously around the yak as one set of + and - hookups to battery let me know.

I'm not familiar with any other brands but had lights installed on my kayak this weekend, SuperNovaFishing Lights. Lots of stuff to consider when putting out a long continuous string like you want to do...amount of flex in kayak can cause them to come off or break, amount of power you'll draw, size battery you'll need.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

that's crazy! no one will miss you. I am using a outdoor house light battery from home depot 12 volt and 7.5 hour. I also have another one that is 4.5. I figure if my depthfinder lasts all day on it should be able to support a string of 10watt lights around the yak. problem is how to minimize wiring. I'll have to brainstorm this one.
