Eagles,

I fished fork yesterday. I think they are in a transition to the deep, summer holes; however, I don't think they have completely set up yet. You can get some deep, but it will one here and one there. We found a majority of our fish in the pads and flooded grass. Keep it mind, it was cloudy throughout the day, so they hit yellow magic, spinnerbaits and frogs throughout the day.

Because of the transition, I would almost let the weather dictate where you fish after the morning frog/top water bite.. High sun with bluebirds, fish the roadbeds, main lake points and humps. Again, I think they are close to setting up deep and might be there depending on when in the week you fish. Of course, there are probably some deep spots that are holding them.

I fished there this weekend and we could only get a bite at day break and at sunset. But I never made it to the Lilly pads smirk

Fished fork Thursday afternoon through Sunday morning. Caught three over five lbs, two fours and some dinks. It was hard fishing with only about seven to ten per day in the boat.
But I would stay at about 18'.
Pulled up to one favorite bush in 18' and caught a good five, then a four, then broke a hook on a fish, then had one brake me off.
Caught more fish shallow, but stayed with the CR using a baby bush hog (watermelon) most of the time.

Good Luck

I fished as best I could on Friday and Saturday with a broken trolling motor. Like RoughHuff said, my bite was around grass and lilly pads with a white spinnerbait. With my trolling motor trouble I probably only fished one full day and managed five fish with a 6.10 in the mix.

good luck
