Does anybody have any experience on the Arkansas River? My dad and I are going to make the trip up in September to fish the BASS Central Open. Can't find very much information on it to begin getting ready for it. Never fished a river system before and don't know exactly what I will need. Is anybody else on here fishing the open as a Boater or Co-Angler? Any info is appreciated.

Also, curious about places to stay. Motels or camping areas that you recommend.

it's basic river fishing - squarebills or spinnerbaits and flipping. As far as places to stay, I can't tell you exactly. There are quite a few places in Muskoge and then there's other towns within 20 minutes like Wagoner or Tahlequah. Tulsa is also within a 45 minute drive
