I'm heading to texoma Wednesday morning with the in laws and the wife and kids. I have my kayak but would like to get the kids on some fish. Has any one been fishing behind the dam lately. I haven't seen any recent reports. I plan on letting them fish some from Preston point also. Thanks in advance.

go across Highport...Paddle across to islands..carry yak over land to OK side of islands...fish the shallows and points arounds islands before and at daylight with top water for stripers..
after sun up they go deep...find on graph and drop down big chartreuse slabs....or live shad if you have them.we have been limiting out by daylight on top waters.

Thanks, I usually don't have a problem catching fish when I go but I really want to get the kids on some from the bank. Can't see loading em all in the yak for a paddle. Lol. I for sure will hit the islands though when I get up early and go out by myself.

Make sure if you go behind the dam to have an Oklahoma license. Part of the Texas side bank is actually in OK.
