Alright, cool. I probably won't make it, as if I'm up early enough I'm gonna go to Southwestern Parts to look into getting my reels serviced. If I do any fishing it will probably be afternoon, depending on weather.

But good luck if you make it to the canal. I wanna see some pics of the carp there.

Mark - Have you got your laptop with you? I keep hoping for some on the bank GV updates!

We got rained on a bit last night. Agfisher and his girlfriend, FishinKev, Rudy and myself made it out. Kevin and I stayed til about 1:30am with only a few serious bites. Who's dumb idea was this anyway? We got rained on pretty good on and off and the mud got REAL soft and made a mess of everything. But it only supposed to get worse so I'm glad we went. It was great to see everyone and get some fresh air before the rain REALLY settles in.

Sorry you guys blanked. I've only been to the south side of the lake once, and I blanked too. Saw a big dead gar, if that counts for anything...Lol. Haven't been back since. It's just a long ways out of my way compared to the north side, so unless it starts producing a lot better or I really feel like fishing a new spot I won't make much effort to get there.

What kind of water depth, and structure, were you guys fishing in? Any waves against or away from the shore?

Waves in our faces on and off. Maybe 10 feet where I baited. I waded out at one point and I could go pretty far and then I hit a drop off that almost got me REAL wet. The bottom is mostly clay/silt with small rocks and some gravel mixed in there. Really mossy in spots.

Hmm...wonder why you weren't catching? Too deep maybe, unless they're only shallow on the north side of the lake. Or maybe they were just shut up do to the temperature drop and the rain. Hard to say.

Can't get your pictures to show up though! Keeps giving me the "Website not responding" thing.
