Fishing near an old boat on Lewisville and i see and hear these huge splashes. Is something feeding on top? What are they and would a topwater bait be good.

With the wierd weather maybe some late spawning. They will only be interested.in making babies.

yeah probably the carp spawn like me and CGNY27 saw on Lavon... serious top water thrashing as they rolled around partying hah

Nope, they won't take a topwater, or anything else for that matter, while they're spawning.
