In the recent weeks there have been a number of threads that have gone completely side-ways on the forum. The number of people that go out and try and catch carp on purpose are while growing still quite few, while we might not agree on many things related to our chosen quarry we still share something very important we love catching carp and buffalo and this makes us uniqueinstead of focusing on the small details we need to keep the larger picture in mind. If we want to see the sport grow we need to welcome as many people as we can by taking them fishing, sharing our tactics, bait, spots and gear. If someone wants to take a fish home for the pot fine, if a person lifts a fish up by the gills great! Congratulate them on there capture and invite them to fish with you getting people behind a rod with a 20lb fish on the other end needs to be our goal. The respect and admiration for the fish will develop over time but we will make no head way by be negative!

That being said I drafted a goal for all members of the carp brigade as we have come to call our selfs..with pride I might add!! And to be included in the ranks of the carp brigade one only need to go out and try and catch a carp on purpose be successful and share there results with there fellow anglers and take a active role in helping others do the samealso owning a carp brigade t-shirt helps smile

And here is the goal that fits at least my vision..

Dedicated to the promotion, education and camaraderie of carp anglers in the great state of Texas

If you see something you dont agree with please by all means feel free to share it. I dont want to stifle or belittle any ones ideas or view points but please consider the aforementioned goal when posting on this section of the forum

All this from someone who usually cant use complete sentences when posting!!

Tight Lines!
