Hi everyone,

I am new to the Texas Fishing Forum and I am trying to find out if there is a page where people give reviews on fishing guides. I want to take my friend out fishing for his bachelor party and I want to find some one who can put us on some fish!

We live in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area, but we would be willing to drive if the price is right.

What lake would you suggest? Who would you recommend?

Thanks,
Hittmanfish

Search Team Redneck guide service. They fish whitney 50 miles south of the metro mess.

I'd go to Tawakoni and fish with Matt Cartwright 214-415-0166. I know him and Joe Read have been wearing out the fish lately. If one of them can't fit you in they'll know another good guide on the lake that can.

+1 for Matt, fished with him 1 time, and it changed my entire game for scaled fish...learned more about locating and catching sandies and hybrids in 4 hours with Matt then I had gained in 20 years of doing it myself.

Catch and release into the grease!

For that combination of fish, Michael Littlejohn and his beautiful bride are hard to beat on Tawakoni.

Can someone explain how the Feds count recreational Red Snapper catch?

You will not be sorry if you book with any of the above mentioned Tawakoni Guides.

Go with Bryan Nims. I have been out with him twice and both times a AWESOME time. Caught a ton of fish and is fair in price. Never is he hesitant to give advice and is a great guy. I will continue to use him. He will even teach you how to fly fish. 214 244 4791

I would highly recommend Lake Livingston Adventures! They guide Lake Livingston & Cedar Creek. These guys will flat out put you on fish all day! I have been on 3 trips and these guides are the best I have ever been out with! I just dropped off a Lake Livingston Striper to the taxidermist I caught with them this weekend! Chris took a large group out to Cedar Creek a few weeks ago and loaded the boat with hard fighting Hybrids and whites! If you wanna put your buddies on fish then I would go with these guys hands down! Text me at 713-306-8069 and I will send you some recent pics. I am having trouble posting pics here for some reason.

If you want to get a little further out of the metromess than Tawakoni come on down to Richland Chambers. There's a great house available to rent for bachelor parties near one of the main ramps and restaurant/bar. Can't go wrong with any of the guides Capt. Craig's Guide Service, Bob Holmes Guide Service, Gone Fishin Guide Service, Mark Parker, etc...

I'd go to tawakoni with stripaholic, he's one of the major players on that lake. Never fished with him personally but know several that have. He's a standup guy, told me where to go, what to use, and put me on some fish over there via telephone when I fished that lake my first time.
