Has been probably 15 years since I have fished. Starting to get back into it. Could anyone give me a list of essential lures I may need such as top water worms spinners etc. Also colors and seasons to use certain things.

Just do a google search for "essential bass lures" and you will find a wealth of info.

Here's 2 links that should get you started

http://www.wired2fish.com/ - They have been writing some articles lately for some fisherman who are just beginning or have not fished in a while like yourself

http://www.wired2fish.com/bass-fishing-lures-selector/ It's not set in stone but, has some good info.

FWIW. I returned to fishing after +30 year hiatus. Had a few spoons and hard baits still usable but had to throw out most everything - decades of Okla heat turned everything, including plastic tackleboxes, into a melted mess. Every week or two on our WM shopping expedition I'll buy one or two lures that look good to me. Eases the $ pain a little bit spreading it out like this. Filled medium size tackle boxes for me & the DW. Now all I need to do is find the lure(s) that catch fish (not just fishermen smirk ).

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.
