So I am taking some friends out to possum kingdom to watch the cliff diving event. We are taking kayaks and want to find a nice beach area nearby that we could paddle to and camp/fish that night. Any ideas on this? I have never been on the lake only below the dam. Thanks in advance. I had no idea on this and figured maybe my forum pals might have some advice. smile

I know there several free camping areas around the boat ramps. With only one ramp on the South end deep enough to launch a boat, you can probably get a place in one of the others. Can't help on the beach camping thing. All the land around the cliff diving (Hell's Gate) is private land.

In space, nobody can hear you scream for ice cream.

I am thinking south d and d is best option. I just was wondering if anyone had a spot I could pull up to and launch off bank rather than dealing with all the crazies at the ramp. thanks for info
