What do you guys think about fishing lakes that just caught a ton of water and are muddied up, is it better to wait several days?

Small lakes yes.
Big lakes will usually have some good areas that aren't so trashed up. I have really had some good stringers in the shallows, with the lake on the rise using my spinner baits.

Big black and blue jigs and big painted blade chartreuse spinnerbaits. Those are HOG hunting conditions!

Something that moves a lot of water. Like one of Donald's custom spinnerbaits would be ideal. In muddy conditions, those pigs will chase the vibration.
