right now the only decent grass is on the watered lawns of homeowners---however there are signs it is coming back in a lot of areas. As the water temps rise grass will reappear so keep looking

If you find some, fish it, they are in it. I had the best weekend of fishing in my life out there this past weekend.

There are a few places that I know the grass is growing back, the fish are stacked in it but not sure if anyone is gonna post about those areas. If you do find grass, I would spend a good amount of time in there, theres still a good amount of big girls hanging out.
Flooded vegetation is also holding them, frogs have worked all day for me, spooks early in the morning as well. Once the sun comes out im out deep.

The frog bite is all about location, location and location. You also have to be willing to stick with it. It can be an all day deal. My experience has found you will catch 2-4 fish in an area then go a little while before you find the next group but the pattern seems to be reproduceable. Also daily changes on the way you retrieve the frog might be needed. Heck area from area they want it different at times but they are there and I think will stay as long as we have water in some of the vegetation and water temps below 80 or so. Midlake has been best for me.

I will say this, I completely agree with Mark and here is what happened to us. We found a spot with grass and it looked like you should get bit every time. I told my partner lets fish this spot for awhile. We where throwing buzz baits because I had caught one earlier on one in a different spot. We must have thrown 10-15 times each with nothing, I picked up my frog rod and on back to back casts caught 5 pounder's. I have maybe caught 3 or 4, 5 pounder's in my life. We ended up catching 5 or 6 right there in about 30 mins. we left and came back, I caught a 6.2 and we caught a few more fish right there before I got too dark for us. It was awesome.

Well last Friday I threw a Spro frog in Williams all over the pads and never even got a blow up on it and it was cloudy out. I guess location, location, location is totally correct.

Some days its a good bit between bites but stick with it. I know of a few pigs caught on a frog in Williams recently. The grass is better than the lads for me.
