Can I get everyone's ideas on organizing tackle in your boat? I keep coming up with new systems, but still have to do a lot of searching.

Terminal and hardbaits go Into 3700 style boxes Plastics stay in their original packages and go into gallon sized ziplock freezer bags Sorted by styles Spinner baits/buzz baits/chatter baits go into a soft sided worm bag so they can lay flat in the pages

I'm trying the ziploc bag route for plastics. It has worked well so far. I've tried the plastic shoe boxes and also plano speed bags. Definitely liking how you can see what you're looking for through the bag and don't always have to look for the labels.

I found some small sterilite boxes with snap on lids for all my soft plastics and misc. other items. Of coarse the flat sided plano boxes for hooks, weights and such. I can put about 12 of the boxes in my storage area.

Rods in the port and starboard boxes with two small spinnerbait boxes tucked in there, plastics assorted by "kind" in gallon zip lock bags are stored in the front center box, all lead and jigs are in the back deck storage boxes to keep the weight on the back pad while balancing the front, this way the boat operates with the most amount of lift - good for speed and fuel economy...just one way of doing it...

I keep my back up plastics in the bags lined up in plastic tubs or in gallon bags placed in a gym bag with handles.
My day system is the butt seat bag. My week system is the larger back pack.
Both of these can attach to the pole, or seat. Everything I am going to uses is in there so I do not have to dig in the compartments or leave the trolling motor. If you are a back seat fisherman they will mount on the back of the seat.
I have more information and pictures if you are interested, just shoot me a PM..

Really like the smaller tool bags from like Harbor Tool for bags of soft plastics. Canvas bags about 6" by 6" by 12" hold lots of bait bags, cheap and easy to load/unload.

Be sure the bags are freezer bags with the zipper closure Why do they have to be freezer bags? Typically more durable and last longer
