Maybe it's just this simple, don't leave S--t in the water unattended that could cause extensive damage to other peoples property, in this case $25,000 outboard engines and people might have a better attitude about it? Common sense with anglers these days, that's what's missing!

Learning about today's fishermen is why we are here. No foul. Time to move on to a better subject. Like where we are all catching fish and what on.

Lol. I've never even seen Alvarado. . .and I'm slightly older than 25.

Could these makers had been picked up be Game Wardens? Just asking.

It's even worse if they're actually my markers, because I buy green ones and spray some grey on them. They're hard to see if the water is flat, and impossible in a little chop. I'v had to hunt for them just because I lost a constant visual on them. That's why I never leave mine unattended, I don't wanna deal with someone who just junked a lower unit.

Not to point out the obvious genius, but you said you left so when I hit your bouy at 30 mph and wrapped it around my prop after you abandoned it how again would I be running next to someone fishing?

Second, plenty of lakes around here require to to either run on pad in 2ft of water or hit stumps in deeper water.

Third, you obviously started this with the intent of stirring up trouble, now you're stumbling over your own words and forgetting your own story in the process.

No, it's a huge difference. Abandoned property on the lake is a hazard, taking rods out of a truck bed is theft. You guys are trying to hard here.

Which end of the lake is this roadbed on? I've fished Alvarado my entire life (35years) and I need to find this spot.

I don't think leaving bouys to come back is a standard that's been around for years. To me if left intentionally it's a sorta "don't fish here because I'm coming back" kinda deal. I saw some last week on Lavon just left unattended no one around, I didnt take em since I already have some and didn't need any from the lost and found dept.

To be honest, I've picked one up before on Fork. It was close to the boat lane and after I fished around it for about an hour and nobody returned I picked it up just because I didn't want anyone else to run it over and do damage to their lower unit. I will gladly return it on my dime if anyone can describe what it looked like and what markings are on it.

Just curious, if you'd if come back for them and saw an angler cutting one of them out of his prop, would you have stopped and asked about it? Offered your name and number for payment of any damages done? Or cowardly kept on driving by?

This is gunna make me sound like an idiot lol but I've ran over one of my own buoys before and trust me it's a son of a gun to cut out lol. I was just idling back to pick it up and the wind pushed the boat right over top of it and the next thing I know I hear this go diddle noise and look back and see that floating orange buoy tangled on my motor stripping out line fast as heck. That being said they can do some damage.
If you leave your sh!t out that's on you in my opinion. Hopefully the guy who took your buoys knocked the fish's lights out on that road bed fish lol_2
