lol....i caught quite a few there also but i released them, knowing that they were small hybrids.. Benbrook has a ton of undersized hybrids in it. Be careful because u never know when that TPW boat is going to pull up. I was actually fishing a little south of the plane field but was in open water with some bottom structure. Hybrids and giant sandies have been holding thick. This weekend there were a ton of boats out. Once a few saw u catching they were all around u. Slabs were working best. Take care and let those poor hybrids go....

This is why they stock Hybrids in lakes to bolster the $$ from fines!
Even the TP$W site says it may be impossible to tell the difference w/o a DNA test!
"Genetic testing may be needed to distinguish between hybrids and their parent species."
I go by the tooth patch. One patch it fries. Two and under 18 it goes back!

I feel more like I do now than I did when I first got here!

Definitely looks like a fish.

I think it's a sandy but I could be wrong.

TPWD should put stickers on hatchlings to make identification easy for us. Like stickers on fruit that say SUNKIST ORANGES or DOLE BANANAS.
