 catching shad on Belton

All my reliable shad spots on Belton are 5 feet up the bank right now. Up cedar creek and island near the 36 bridge boat ramp. Can anyone help me out with some spots good for the current lake level. Taking 4 kids Sunday and I know they don't want to watch me throw a cast net all day.

cedar creek just past the second boat ramp, on the left there is a flat that holds shad, watch for them popping at the surface.
