Live bait (shad) would be my #1 option but i havent seen or catch 1 shad these last few week. Slap from moetackle is working pretty good.Minow is good for crappie along the spill way.For hybri and sandbass try ti scan over hump. Hipe this help, good luck.

Watch the wind and be safe...
Cloud and sun points have been holding fish

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Make sure you have some 1/2 oz Jig Heads and fish shallow in the AM and eve! Kody's Papa is correct Sun and Cloud. Swimbaits in the AM and if ya need live bait in the afternoon on deep water humps! Fish may key on smaller swimbaits so 4" Sassys and CocaMoe Minnows. Won't hurt to have some 5 inchers too! This weekend will be a zoo on Twak so be safe.

Great info here! The south wind was horrible there this week.

We did real well with silver/black and silver/blue rattle traps last weekend on Sun Point. The whites were hitting just about anything we threw, beetle spins, road runners, you name it but the hybrids seemed to prefer the traps. A guy in the boat next to us was throwing a fluke and catching hybrids but the traps seemed to produce the most fish even an occasional blue cat. Hope this helps...

Thanks everyone. Is "Sun" and "cloud" the actual name of points ?

I think I was 'the guy next to you", white Xpress CC. I was actually using cocahoe minnow type swim baits. Tried Moe's Tackle white/clear glitter with good results, but they seemed to like chart/glitter the best and all I had them in was H&H. Picked up some similar to H&H (Norton's, I think) at BPS this week that had more of a yellow coloration than chart, and tried them thursday evening in the same spot with similar or better results. 3-4" long baits seemed to work much better than larger baits, with nice hybrids almost every cast for the last 30-45min's of daylight (til it was almost plumb dark). Using all of these on 1/4oz ball jig heads (chart color).

Y'all were definitely catching more fish than I was, but I think I boated a total of two sandies that evening, wasn't really looking for a sandy bite myself. I fish almost exclusively for hybrids and striper, and take the sandies that come with it. It's all a matter of what you like though. I C&R for the most part, so i look for the bigger bite most of the time.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space!

psycho0819 yeah that was us man! Me and the kids hit that same spot yesterday from 6 to 8 and did about the same on the whites but zero hybrids. The whites seemed to prefer anything small and chartreuse: rooster tails, road runners, etc... and were all in about 3 foot of water. If you got 5 foot or deeper the bite stopped. Sure would've liked to get on those hybrids again though.
