I'm from Colombia and after I watched the Geobass video, I want to head back! however I got the point of the aventure, but you don't need to go deep in the jungle to fish for peacock bass, you just need to get to the river and that's it, peacock bass or tucunare (as we call them) are everywhere and trust me! bigger than those in the video!!

BTW $6.500 for nine days???????????? wowwww just come with me to Colombia and get me some beer and I'll take you fishing for nothing. I usually go with a local fisherman who I know about 10 years ago and I pay him $40.000 pesos or $20 bucks for a complete day in his boat, plus I get him some beer and I get the lunch for everyone. At the end of the day, I'll spend around $50 USD

let' see: 9 days fishing will be $450 for fishing in a boat everyday including lunch and beer. Hotel and food for 9 days.....let's say $500 if you don't want to go fancy or $800 if you do, total: $950 - $1250...


Thinking about it...I can create a fishing guide company, taking people to Colombia for peacock bass! let's say $3.000!!! I also have fished in the Colombian Amazon jungle....$4.500 for that one, there is so many threads around, everything can kill you!
