I was thinking of hitting Purtis Creek tomorrow morning in my kayak . And advice? I don't have electronics to find brush piles. Or, any suggestions on a good lake to kayak in and find some crappie?

If you go to Purtis, there is no need for electronics...lots of visible stuff. In my one trip there I found fish where there were multiple limbs close together (brushy) more so than the single timber arms. Once I finally found the pattern, I did well. I didn't catch a fish under a pound that day.
