We have a new pet. The last few months we have spotted three guinea pigs in the neighborhood. Now the last couple of weeks we have one in our shrubs. It hides in the leaf mulch under the hollies and comes running out when we put a carrot or lettuce out. It really seems to love lettuce. It is one cute little rodent. I do not know how long it will survive since the neighborhood has quite a few cats roaming around. Someone must have had them as pets and released them when they grew tired of them. All we have seen are adults, so I do not think there will be a breading population established.

Dang, and I thought I was going to be reading aobut you using a new bait and catching 20-lb.+ hybrids on LL with it...hey, now there's an idea! If you think the cats are going to kill them, capture them and take them fishing with you....
