So I’m trying to get with other styles….the way I am with the crankbait. I’m actually liking the jig. I always thought I would constantly get hung up but I’m figuring out how to pop it free. And man the bass hammer it. Crazy thing is most time I don’t feel the jig being hit. But I’m loving having a backup to the crank

Jigs are awesome baits, before long you will feel it when a fish just breathes on it.

when you know that you're fishing trees, try to barely pull it over the limbs instead of hopping it. That might help with hang ups a little. Keep up the good work 1007

I actually like it when I don't feel a bite on a jig but see the line moving, because most of the time it is a "good" fish. The jig is a good big fish bait.

Yes.. just jiggle it over the branches... If you don't get hit then stroke it a couple times and sometimes it gets a reaction strike from a weary bass. Over time you will be able to "see" what your jig is doing just by the feel. You have to use a very good rod that let's you feel the bait.

Good stuff Crank! A wise member here on the forum once said "Fish a Jig as if you had a Texas Rig tied on". Man, wish I knew that years ago, definitely helped my confidence. It's hard for me to put down that Crankbait this time of year though...
