This is insane... That 9 days only has 1 weekend in it which takes it down to what amounts to a 3 day season for most people. Meanwhile the commercial guys are given the green light.... Amazing !

Recreational fisherman only account for approx 10-15% of the total harvest yet we get hammered by these ridiculous regulations.

Head boats, commercial, and shrimpers destroy populations recreational guys put tons of money into the economy but there the ones that take the fall. I'm in the coast guard and I'm leaving due to the ridiculousness of our government. I'm going by state law @@@@ emm.

Not as far as NMFS is concerned.

But, it would be good for Texas and Texas fishermen to have as much productive structure in our state waters as possible.

Well if they wouldn't of cut every rig you can think of down there would be structure. Now there in a panic from low numbers. Because they rigid explosives a blew there homes up

Yes, structure in state waters help since the Gulf is pretty much a barren waste land, then you can just fish state waters and the hell with Federal. Will structure help stupid.... No....
