Found Lariat eco's discounted over $15k at Grapevine. 6.2L's are hard to find but I couldn't find any discounted more than 11k.

but apples to apples you arnt' getting a better deal. I would like to see what the difference in price is between two of the same trucks with a ecoboost in one and a 6.2 liter in the other I understand what you are saying, but its not an apples to apples situation because of the ecoboost's being way more common in a lesser "dressed" models make them a better deal. Just the fact that the 6.2L's are less available and mostly in Lariat's makes the price higher. We wouldnt be discussing this if the 6.2L's were just as available and in just as many XLT's as the 3.5L's are because you could walk down to your local dealer and see multiple examples and compare them yourself, lol. It has nothing to do with the cost of the motor itself, it has to do with the way Ford is packaging the 6.2L's that makes the price different and more cost effective to buy one with the 3.5L.

I see what your saying, but to someone like myself, I buy lariat or king ranch trucks. I don't like cloth seats. So if I were in the market for a new truck, I would pass over all the XLT's no matter how many were ecoboosts or 6.2 liters. so apples to apples, in a lariat or king ranch trim, what would be the real price difference between the ecoboost and the 6.2 liter?

I have a dollar that says 99% of all raptors never see a dirt road. But that goes for alot of trucks you see with a suspension and big tires, lol. My 2wd F150 has seen more offroad than 90% of the trucks with 4in lifts and 33 in mudders, lol.

A 4x4 with 20 - 22" wheels and low profile tires is like you know on what. Every day I pass several and think about how far they would make it on the ranch roads I hunt.

I've had my truck loaded down pretty good before. I like that extra insurance of if I need it, I have it

Yep, got to love the low pros on a 4x4! I cant believe the tire makers even make low profile tires with off road tread.
