This thread needs to go away. All I can say is that Jim and I checked the tooth patch and found 1, we thought it to be a big sandy, if it wasn't it was an honest mistake. All other fish that had 2 tooth patches were put on the board and if they were 17 7/8's inches back into the dink they went. I don't think I'll be posting reports or pictures here any more. I'll stick to the OT....  Thanks to all of you who supported me in this ridiculous debate over a fish....  FrankI It is amazing how all these people are experts by looking at one photo......again, the game warden can only give you a ticket based on its tooth patch, I don't care what the fish looks like. Don't let these negative people keep you from doing what you enjoy and bringing home a nice organic meal.

Sometimes the angle, light and quality of photo can make a sandie look like a hybrid.....he said he checked the tooth patch.....all comments should have ended then. Nice job and great fish! Thank you sir... We did indeed check all fish caught for length and tooth patches when questionable. It's amazing how people are such experts over a photo and a fish they have not seen in person. Had there been any doubt about it being a hybrid back into the water it would have gone. Was just curious Frank - over the years I've seen many variations of the ID items on hybrids and sandbass. The embarassing variations are the ones I don't see until I'm at home using the fillet knife ...  Didn't mean to come across as a jerk, sorry if it seemed negative.

Twin Poles (which is now just one pole) Now that you mention that. Anyone know what happened to the other pole? Hadn't seen it in awhile. It isn't hanging just below the surface is it?
