last time i went, it was a sunday a couple of weeks ago, it was TERRIBLE! great weather, but not even a nibble, and no one around us was catching anything, of all the people i talked to only 1 person had caught anything. im hoping after this rain and cold front we will have some warm days and the run will be on!

The creek is rolling this morning in Justin, so I'm sure it's even higher at 377. It will be this weekend before that thing settles down enough to hit it. Good luck and be safe. The banks will be very muddy for several days.

so i know this completely kills the white bass run for a few more days, but i was wondering, is this good or bad for catching huge cats? ive heard of people catching massive cats when dams are discharging, is that because of the water flow or just because its at a dam?

The cats would need to have turbo jets to keep up with the water coming down the creek right now. After it settles I bet they will be in there.

Just an FYI.... I went last saturday to the "hole". I caught 22 Sandies in a few hours. The run IS on, but I think it will end soon. I caught them on marabou roadrunner jigs.

BSmith, where did you go? West of 377 or east of 377? Anywhere near the hole?

Does anyone fish this part of the creek at 407? I live in town and pass by all the time. I've fished it once, but caught nothing, and only saw what I believe to be a carp.
