 1. Abu Garcia BCX are junk.....don't buy one- if u do - take it back. 2. BaitCast Gear .... most people prefer Abu GArcia 6500c3,6000, 5500C3 - there are several other reels but these are the most popular because of their qaulity reputation and the fact that parts are readily available for repairs and rebuilds. Some other popular reels include PRoAngler, Ming Yang, various Okuma models and BPS CatMaxx. 3. Spinning Gear .... http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbt...ues#Post71851014. Drifting .... http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/6558084/15. Bank Rod Holders .... http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/6436022/Re_Bank_rod_holders#Post64360226.Boat Rod Holders ..... http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/6731937/1http://www.beereadys.com/ 7. Don't set hook with circle hooks, reel about 4-5 times then pick up rod..... 8. Alot of Good Info found at http://www.learntocatchcatfish.com/9. Dead Red and KatJuice .... http://teamcatfish.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=35&products_id=58 http://bottomdwellerstackle.com/juiced_up_baits.htm#katjuice10. Rigs...Santee Cooper and 3 Way .... http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/6758754/111. Baits ..... fresh Shad whole or cut, "Perch" (Sunfish) Whole or Cut, Cut Carp or Buffalo, Chicken Breast soaked in Dead Red or Kat Juice, Chicken or Beef Liver, Bread Dough/ Bread Balls, Worms etc.... * No Part of Any Game Fish Can Be Used For Bait!* - get fat ticket..... 12. Rods ..... Most popular for both Spinning and Baitcast are ProAnglers and Ugly Sticks..... basically for channels u want a medium 7' rod and for Blues 7-8' MH rod for boat fishing and 8'-10'-12' MH rods for bank fishing.

Oh Ya - Greatest Thread EVER : http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/6610683/1Good Stuff Here: http://www.catfishing.tv/Main/tips-section/TipsSection.htmlThere is no such thing as too many rods n reels.....Law says 100 hooks so technically u could fish 100 poles........Community Lakes City Ponds-Parks is 2 pole limit in most cases.....Private property such as Marinas and fishing piers-barges can have limits too.....as most do Easiest Way To Learn? Book a teaching trip with one of the qaulity guides who frequent TFF. Just tell us what lake or area and TFF regulars will recommend a guide or two.

Thanks for a quick education. Me and the boys have been using carolina rigs with barrel weights. I've noticed in several threads the use of the flat weights. Is that personnel preference or is there an advantage to using the flat weights over barrel weights?
