I want their green beans recipe. My aunt Jewel used to make them exactly like that but I didn't ever learn how she did it. Okay, I have to ask since I've never met anyone else with an Aunt Jewel! LOL Mine was actually my great-aunt. Did yours live in Cranfills Gap or Clifton by any chance? Nope... sorry. I wish though. I love that area out there. She was Jewel Morgan... lived near Ninnekah, Oklahoma. Born 1909. She was my mama's brother's wife. They had a bunch of sheep and cows and goats and a couple working border collies that were the smartest I've ever seen. He could tell Emmy "Go bring the milkers" and that dog would go get the milking goats and bring them to the pen. There must be something charmed about Jewel's from back then. My great aunt Jewel was born in 1908, and I never knew, only recently found out, that she was a WAC in WWII. She was a younger sister of my Grampa, 14 of them there were. I have one great-aunt still, Verna Lee, in Clifton. My Mom's aunt and only 6 years older than my mom would be.. LOL Good old Norwegian genes!

I've never been able to pass up the fried chicken and get the Chicken Fried Steak.. As far as the chicken goes, its some of the best I've had in my life!

only one I have ever been to was Roanoke. No complaints other than I needed someone to help me into my truck I ate so much. Their biscuits with that molasses stuff was incredible.
Between the table we all go to share the chicken and the cfs, all good stuff

Way too loud for my preferences, but I love their smoked chicken. Still feel ripped off about the price for a chiken dinner, but I'm not a big eater and all you can eat is generally wasted on me.I go to the Burleson one.

The one in Sanger is good, everything is good, except for the instant potatoes, why they do that I don't have any idea!!!

Babes in San Antonio is one of them there bars where girls remove their garments for dollar bills. Nobody goes for the CFS.

The Babes in Roanoke is great. Never had any problems. I also like Sweetie Pies in Decatur that is owned by Babes also

Went there yesterday. Didn't like the mashed potatoes or desserts. Chicken, catfish and biscuits were really good. Green beans and salad were OK but would not go back for me if I was paying. I like the look of it. We went to Arlington. Now I can say "Been there, done that"........

went to babe's for the first time saturday night.very very loud had cfs not as good as i have heard.chicken looked like it was fried in old oil.over all not that impressed. wat say you.  Maybe when you get it free friday it will be good.
