I don't em at all and if I was going to I sure wouldn't be eating anything over 2 lbs. I don't have anything against people eating bass but anything over 2 lbs should be thrown back.

If you catch them early just put them in the live well and fish until dark. They will be boiled perfect by then. lol

So many fish, so little time.

I dont know but I would not like em the way you cooked them. Next time turn your heat down and add some olive oil you may not burn them as bad.

White bass soaked in lemon juice, breaded then fried! Black bass aren't worth the effort all you need is one school of chunky whites and you're fed for months. LM are funner to catch than to eat but I've had to cull some ponds In my day, just not a good tasting fish IMHO.

Catch some yellow cats and some crappie and you're good for the rest of the year. lizard

wrap them in foil with a piece of green Mesquite, cook in oven for 35 min, take it out and eat the green Mesquite.

Thanks, Billy

Caught a few from Monticello the other day that were already poached! All I added was lemon & butter...

Seriously, here's what I like to do:

1-3 pounds - Blacken
3-6 pounds - Stir Fry
6-9 pounds - Lightly saute
9-12 pounds - Shake & Bake
12-15 pounds - Grill over hot coals
15-18 pounds - Boil until tender
Over 18 pounds - Throw back, too tough!

I like to pickle the really small ones and put them on pizza like anchovies.
