It took me 11 years to pay back $130K in loans for two degrees. Biden is a piece of work.


It's far too easy for kids to get these loans.
The interest rates are far too high on loans that cannot be defaulted on.
The interest rates should be adjusted based on the degree. If the nation needs doctors, low interest rate. Want to be an underwater basket weaver? High interest rate.
There should be limits placed on how much can be borrowed based on the type of degree. Kids shouldn't be allowed to borrow 5X their likely first year salary.
It's not at all clear to me the government should have any involvement in loaning money for private education.
Also, allowing bankruptcy on student loans would solve much of this problem.
