Sad. I joke about liking “fresh brush” to flip, but I’d never want the lakes to be unsafe for those living near them.

Best wishes and prayers for those with houses near the flood zones.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

Born and raised in Llano until I went to college and moved away. Never seen anything like it in 30 plus years i have been around.

A lot of twists and turns beforehand, but if it does hit the dam it won't be good. I pray to God that the Wirtz dam holds. That is a lot of water going through a small area. I'm sure Wirtz dam is efficient but it isn't very big.

We were there this past weekend for our club tournament. I cannot imagine how many houses, slips, shops, and restaurants are effected. Thought and prayers go out to everyone. My wifes' aunt and uncle are lake front home owners and I know what they lost.

The property loss is going to be huge, and devastating to the lives of the residents. And forget about fishing, navigation on LBJ is going to be hazardous with all the debris floating or bareley submerged in shallow water areas. And the thousands of gallons of pollutants washed into the water... frown This is gonna take a long time to correct.

My buddy used to own a place in Kingsland on the water near the 1431 bridge, on the Colorado but facing the Llano. I used to tell him how fortunate it was to have property on a constant level lake like LBJ. He allowed as how it was... "until it's not. Then, not so much."

Sad deal. Lots of beutiful homes and amazing boat docks destroyed. The lake had been fishing phenomenal the last few years. It was becoming my favorite lake ever since Lake Austin became a toilet.
