they are saying it’s the worst flood since 1935. Also heard they are evacuating several areas in llano due to flooding.

Yeah, it's absolutely nuts out there. I've seen some crazy pics and videos on FaceBook this morning.

From J.R. at austinbassfishing.com:

Llano is cresting at the second highest level in recorded history at 31 feet, with them releasing at 275,260 cfs in Kingsland right now and the Pedernales over 20k. This should fill Travis all the way up, maybe even over full pool a little.

LBJ was 12ft high today at one point. Not sure where it is now, but that's absolutely insane! Right underneath Wirtz Dam (LBJ), Lake Marble Falls was up 30-35ft, and 8-12ft throughout the entire lake. Travis will definitely fill up and then some. Houses on Graveyard Point are going to be under water. If you go on FaceBook and go to Keep Austin Fishing, you can see all of the pictures and videos. I've never seen LBJ flood this bad. Buchanan will fill up as well, even though it's up stream of LBJ.

According to the LCRA, Travis should go as high as 790-795(normal is 681) and that is with up to 6 floodgates open at Mansfield.

To give you guys an idea of how much water is coming through LBJ, Travis is rising 1ft per hour. That's incredible for a lake that size.

Wirtz Dam at peak was 300,000 cfs. Llano River near Mason is still at 168,000 cfs.

My brother use to have a place on the Llano arm. He was there the last time it flooded. When that river floods it is something else. I remember years ago when a tropical storm came through and dumped 10"+ on the Edwards Plateau. I had friends that had a ranch northwest or Rocksprings and one of the branches of the Llano normally runs underground there. It was bank to bank. I10 was shutdown for some time. They had to bring in heavy equipment to clear debris. I am guessing that it is at least 30' and probably more to the stream bed from the bridge.

I'm assuming you meant 690-695. Just crazy bad flooding and just hope no one losing a life in this. Things can be replaced, people can't.

Think that dam is safe with that bridge debris barreling down the river channel?

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

My boss sent me a picture of his father in law 2 story house halfway under water. He said the water was at 36ft high. He said 80,000$ wakeboard boats were going through the dam all morning. Terrible all the damage I just people don’t get silly and stay away from the flooded areas
