Anything is better than nothing Oh I agree, just seems like its either the Nueces or Atascosa that seem to get all the runoff.

Anyone know just how fast the water is moving? Was planning on going this weekend, but don't know if i would be able to fight the current.

I was planning on scouting for ducks, could have worded that a bit better. Have a John boat with a 25, just not sure if its worth the trouble.

Prob not much trouble with that. Might be a pretty decent current up the river. If you go to the main lake (plenty hunt around the main lake) then watch the wind speed forecast. Not sure if youve ever been, but any wind over 10mph gets the main lake rough. Calliham would be safe though, pretty protected from the North & South. Mason Point would be protected from a South wind.
Not sure if Doughtry (misspelled) is open now or not, prob not.

Looking towards the main lake. Center of pic is guy on bass buster. We fished for a few hours till the skeeters got too bad. Caught a few blues and lots of spotted gar on shad

17.7 foot low now, its come up about 11 feet. Been a while since there was this much water in it. Hopefully catch a little more if the rain they are predicting continues. The ground is primed if it stays steady nearly everything that falls will be run off.

Up another foot to 16.5 low with a boat load of rain predicted.
