This thread was started at 8:28 pm yesterday and the comment I’m quoting was made at 11:20 pm yesterday. You do realize there is 24 hours in a day, right?

Getting ready to fish in the rain all weekend. Doesn't bother me a bit. Sick to death of this heat.

I hope there is a creek or river bank you have to follow.

There is, at the back, multiple angle points, heavily treed, it will sux

Those are the ones that make long legal descriptions.

'See attached Schedule A Legal Description' is something I'm very familiar with.
Many years ago I had a loan in Ohio where the Legal Description on the Mortgage started at a fixed point of beginning and went clockwise around the property (maybe a half acre). The Legal Description in the Title Policy and on the first Assignment of Mortgage started at the same point of beginning but went counter clockwise around the property. It looked odd at first but I figured it out.
To avoid any future confusion I slipped a note in the file that said the two Legal Descriptions were both for the same property.
An Attorney in Ohio threatened to have me charged with practicing law without a license (he wanted a fee to write a legal opinion stating what my note said).

My favorite are the legal descriptions from the late 1800s or early 1900s that like to use rock piles, tree stumps and creek banks as corner markers or boundaries.

Yeah, those are fun to read; but not as much fun to walk off.
One of the best I saw was on a simple little house in Sulphur Springs. The Legal Description/Title search was about 200 pages of single spaced typed onion skin and went all the way back to a Land Grant signed by Sam Houston, President of The Republic of Texas and recorded in Nacogdoches County.

We could go on for days talking about this, it is interesting for sure, but it sux mostly surveying, it is rewarding to find 100+ year old markers of any kind, don't forget bois d' arc corners, I do enjoy following Goodfellow and such
