I'm waiting to see it mounted on a boat and used with some wind to see how stable it is. I'm also curious on how the motors hold up over time with being water proof. The price point is appealing but if for some reason they don't last then it becomes an expensive paper weight.

Can't really have a warranty for a non functioning unit nor could I expect a warranty to be honored if the units failed and the business went under. I think it needs a lot of time on the water to prove the item will hold up before I could feel comfortable buying.

Once it is a proven concept, I'd definitely buy two. I thought about the beta test unit but after thing aboutit, I don't want to spend $250 and drill holes in my boat in case it doesn't hold up.

I hope they do work as well as you expect and hold up over time then I'll definitely be a customer. Keep us updated on the testing.

Thank you Bobby and I glad to hear that you will be a future customer.
I expected the market was and will be a little skeptical.
But I see there point about everything.

I mean why try to improve on something that is great
Like the power pole and talon. Well my thoughts are those
Systems are fantastic but I wouldn't know that my self with out
Buying 1 or 2 of them. Sometimes the market is not wanting change
But for the price of those systems. I was wanting change or
Improved pricing and hit hasn't seem to come.

But quick story...I remember years ago fishing with my father and
Him taking me to bass pro shop for a look at those new humminbird
Depth finders with there black and white screens and no gps systems.
He would always tell me he wanted one of those 599.99
Things but he would never pull the trigger. As soon as the next best thing would
Come out he would get a used 599.99 system for 150bucks and he was
So happy to have it even if it wasn't the best.
Maybe it was slower and maybe the screen wasn't as big but he would
Still find fish and catch them.. Point being that even if my system
Isn't the best nor fastest. It will still do what you need for a quarter
Of those other systems.

Are those the same mounting pattern as power poles and talons? So you could use the existing brackets on the market.

Hello. Yes the Predator system will use the same mounting pattern as a Power pole and talon.
So other jack plate mounts will fit with no problem.

Thank you

What is the height difference with the pole standing up compared to power pole?

Also, any videos of it working in water on your boat? Thanks.

What ever came of this unit are you still selling it or selling the plans for the poor guy to build without having to take a loan out.How did the testing go.

I was wondering the same thing. I figure they finally realized that the patents meant a little more than they first thought.

I was actually going to build these for my bass boat last year before I sold my boat. I figured even a 200lb actuator would do the job.

I've had two ideas since then that I would think make things even more different and better. Instead of using a fiberglass tensile pole use a clear acrylic pole and attach rgb LED lights on top of it. That way you have a night fishing light. Also make a 4ft-6ft version for aluminum/duck boats.

Anyone know what size actuator by looks Im thinking its a 16 inch ?
and yes I think 200lb would work just fine.I do like the idea to use the led on top.You can get around a patent. He could have sold this as a build it yourself. All in all its not that hard to build.Im running some parts on my cnc machine now so will see what I can come up with. cool

He updated somewhere else in the forum. Couldn't sell them because of patents.
