I purchased some seafoam to go in my four stroke Yamaha, I noticed it’s quite a bit higher than sta- bile because recommendations are 1 ounce per gallon of gas, do you put that much seafoam quantity in your outboard. Thanks for help

They are about the same price. 14.95 for 32 oz of sta-bil and 6.95 for 16 oz of Sea Foam. Both you use 1 oz to 10 gal for fuel maintenance. More Sea Foam 2 oz per gallon for tuning and to de-carbon.

The instructions on seafoam state 1 ounce per gallon of gas for maintenance, you’re saying you use one ounces per 10 gallons for maintenance is that correct.

Yes. That is all you need after the initial treatment to clean motor out.

Sea Foam is great. It will not hurt anything. I have used different amounts for years and run it in everything I own.
It has a shock treatment also for quicker results. I think it is listed on the can. IMO no worries just use it.
Great Stuff and Atwoods & Walmart it sells for $6.97. You will see a difference in how good your engine runs also. Great to run in the oil of your truck also.
Keeps internal parts clean and also helps keep the oil side of injectors clean on diesel engines.
Sorry I do not work nor am I sponsored by Sea Foam. Just really believe in their product.

Great stuff Seafoam. I use it in my boat motor as well as in my mowers and gas weed eaters and with those little motors you can really tell a difference in using Seafoam or not.

I don't use seafoam all the time but when I do I just dump the entire can in the gas tank.

I only use the recommended amount, on first treatment. 1/4th after that. Like many things that are good, Sea Foam if to strong will cause some gaskets to swell up. Seen it on the brown Evinrude carb bowl gaskets.

Don't want to hijack thread, but what is the shelf life of sea foam ? I have a few cans that are a few years old. Thanks. JD
