Trying to get rid of my rod tubes from my Ranger z520 to increase storage and ease of use. Removed the screws from the face but they will not budge. After looking under the front panel, I can see the tubes are foamed in. Before I start hacking away.....has anyone else done this on a Ranger? How did you get the tubes freed from the foam? Were there any issues with storage afterward?

Yep. I would love to do mine too. I have been told that you just have to jump in and start hacking away at the foam. I just moved my roads to the driver side box for now (not tubes on that side)

That side will not hold 7ft rods due to the cooler.

Do you have the open, plastic insert on that side for the rod tips?

Retirement best job ever.

Do you have the open, plastic insert on that side for the rod tips? The insert is closed on the end. I don't mind chopping away.....I just want to end up being useable

Man...I'd leave that one alone.
If I needed more than a dozen rods through a day of fishing, I guessed completely wrong and wasted too much time by the time I'm looking for rod 13. Games over.
Don't screw up an expensive boat to hold a few more rods.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.
