Where are the best bank bass fishing spots near Fort Worth/Arlington?

In south Fort Worth, go to I-20 and Hulen, drive south beyond the Hulen Mall and turn right (west) on Overton Ridge Blvd. Follow the road just a couple of miles and you will pass under the Chisholm Trail Toll Road, keep going just a couple more hundred yards and you will see a Pizza Hut off to your right and a Target with a large parking lot.

I park in the far corner there away from Target across from this small lake/pond. Start fishing just behind the Pizza Hut, especially if it is windy from the south. Work the bank there at first, then around the bank (you can only go one direction) until you find them. Well, normally my LMBs I've caught in there are 1 to 1.5 lbs. but I caught a 4 pounder last early spring 2016 about halfway toward the little spillway.

I have never fished the other side, sort of back behind the Saltgrass Restaurant, but if you can wiggle your way back there, it'd be more water to fish.

I almost always have the best luck with a drop shot rig and a small roboworm.

I have never targeted bluegills, but that'd be the other species that I am aware of. Not sure about catfish, etc.

Brad
