 Unbeleivable Week at Roberts

Ray Roberts showed itself in a way I've never seen at the end of this week. I had 2 trips everyday this week and fished once each day this weekend. The fishing was great every time! The big fish really started biting at the end of this week like crazy! We caught fish anywhere From 10 ft or water to 25 ft of water. The best fish I caught all came out of 19 ft about 10 ft down. This rain we had last night will cool the water down as well and they will probably bite even better for a few days! I did have someone cancel for Tuesday evening. I also have Thursday evening available for working mans trips. I think I might have something available for a half day or two This week as well! Saturday morning I took my 3 year old for some one on one time. I decided o wanted to go to an entirely different area than I normally do. It paid off with a new personal best. It also paid off with bigger fish than I've ever laid eyes on on Ray Roberts. Mason caught probably 10 keepers or So pretty quick and then daddy started fishing with the new Bonehead pink and blue brush gliders. Immidiately I caught my personal best at Ray Roberts weighing 2.69 pounds! Pulled over to the next tree and caught a 2.40! I felt like I was at fork back April! We ended the day with 40 something keepers by 11 and had 6 fish over two pounds. To put that into perspective, until Saturday I had only caught 7 all year! It was unbelievable! I know I'll never be able to do that again on that lake, but I'm sure gonna try! Here are some pics from this week! If you're wanting to go catch some fish, seriously, it's a great time to do it! Man that's way cool!!! That was such a fun lake! Can we trailer from Texoma to Roberts in 2 weeks?? Haha! Man on a normal year you'd want the Texoma fish. But something special is going on in that water at Ray Roberts this year!

Thats what everybody says!! Oh well I was fired up when I made the reservations. I've been on it plenty with a shotgun. Never with a fishing rod. If it's tough it's tough for everybody!! Tough lakes have been good to me this year. Bring it on!!!
