IMMEDIATE RELEASE - MONDAY FEBRUARY 22, 2016

The long awaited return of the Bass Pro Shop Grapevine Series will be on Sunday March 20th, at Lake Lewisville. The tournament will be hosted at the new "Little Elm" boat ramp facility located at 1101 W. El Dorado Parkway (just west of the new Little Elm Park entrance) Open registration and angler check-in will open at 5:00am at the ramp. There will be a numbered start at safe light. The weigh-in will be held at the Little Elm boat ramp starting at 3:00pm and closing at 4:00pm. All anglers/teams must be in line at the tanks no later than 4:00pm!

FORMAT: OPEN TEAM / INDIVIDUAL (ANGLERS CHOICE) NO MEMBERSHIP FEE!

ENTRY: $120 PER BOAT (INCLUDES BIG BASS)

PAYBACK: 85% 1-5 (NOTE: THE INCREASE IN THE REQUIRED PERMIT AND SEPARATE LIABILITY INSURANCE HAS NECESSITATED THE 85% PAYBACK TO COVER THE ADDITIONAL EXPENSE)

Due to the continued high-water issue at Lake Grapevine, and the closure of Lewisville Lake Park due to construction, it remains uncertain when the ramps at Grapevine will open including the Lake Park facility. Therefor I am unable to announce a schedule for the "series" at this time. It is anticipated that the ramps at Grapevine may open in March, more information will be updated as soon as possible.

Is there an AOY for this series? If so, does this one on Lewisville count towards it? Trying to decide between this or Mega Bass.

Even though we don't have a set schedule for the "series", each event will count towards AOY and points will be assigned as always. The only difference with this "open" is I am not collecting membership fees until I can schedule the series.

I'm in as soon as it gets to Grapevine. Hoping for soon.

Keep your fingers crossed George, hopefully the ramps on the Vine reopen in March!
