I was looking for boat ramps south of Livingston the only one I could find was the one right behind the dam, could anyone point me in the direction on where to find locations. Also where to find the river water level my son and I are wanting to head out in 2weeks but with all the rain and flooding don't want to drive all the way if the water level is still crazy high. Thanks for any advice

Thanx,
JJ Maldonado

Looks like Livingston is a couple of feet above full pool right now. I'm not familiar enough with the lake to recommend a boat ramp.

I'm supposed to fish there this weekend. If I go I'll let you know how I do, conditions, etc.

There is a public ramp on US 59 between Shepard and Goodrich. It is about 10-12 miles south of the dam as the crow flies.

I just got off the phone with my fishing guide at Livingston. It's a no go this weekend. We were going to fish below the dam, but he says they're letting out crazy amounts of water right now.

Anyone know how much water releasing from the dam would be to much current to safely be in?

They are letting out almost 69,000cfs...... anything over 40k below that dam can be pretty sketchy. It's definitely going to be some good fishing when they cut the water back.
